Application:
Internally in prostate adenoma, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, hypertension, inflammation of the urinary tract (to facilitate urination) due to diuretic and antipyretic action.
Cortex Coryli avellanae (Betulaceae)
Description: up to 5 m tall shrub, with ashy smooth bark, covered with many hazelnuts. Leaves - consecutive, obovate; fringes drooping, female flowers - in buds. It blooms in February - April.
Chemical composition: the peels contain essential oil, up to 10% tannins, tannins, dyes, organic acids and more.
Usage: internally: 3 times 1 cup of extract a day before meals, sweetened with honey.
